6-week session: June 9 – July 21 (no class July 7)

SWING DANCING – BEGINNER
7:00 – 8:00 pm
This class will teach you the form of Swing that is similar to the Jitterbug and will prep you for Lindy hop. It is characterized by a six-count basic, spins, turns, bounces and some charlestons! In the beginner class, you will learn the basic six count triple and single time that you can use right away on the social dance floor as well as essential lead and follow skills that will allow you to dance with anyone.
SWING DANCING – INTERMEDIATE and BASIC LINDY HOP
8:00 – 9:00 pm
You’ve already learned basic 6 count single and triple timing and can lead and follow basic turns and moves. You are now ready to move on to 8 count patterns (basic Lindy), get in and out of the 6 count moves and become more creative.
Pre-requisite: You have taken lvl 1 and are fairly comfortable with the material taught. Or, you are comfortable with 6 count triple and single timing moves. You can lead or follow pretty much anyone who sticks to that basic.
Fees: $60 for Riley Center members, $75 for non-members
